AFROTREK Travel News was started in 1992 by Geoffrey Burton to provide up to date travel news of interest to people of color.

Mr Burton began as a travel writer with African American Travel Magazine out of Miami. He is a member of National Association of Black Journalists, National Association of Minority Media Executives and the International Travel Writers Association.

AfroTrek also sponsors occasional specialized trips. These include the World Fastest Mothers Day Thrill Weekend, Christmas Shopping Mall Trek, The Great American Ballpark tour, and others. We are not a travel agency, but operate tours with the assistance of registered agents.

AfroTrek assists several professional and specialized groups with destination planning for retreats, gatherings, reunions, and conferences. However, we reserve the right to refer organizations to other event planners as we see fit.
